Caterpillar is an amazing company to work for. It may be considered conservative for some but it is progressing. Standards are high, expectations are very high.

Very Satisfied Rater

Caterpillar is a well known Company. The “Company” says it takes initiatives to recognize and promote women but does so in a bias manner depending on who you know, not what you know. Whether your liked and are a yes person to the men in charge. If you are a strong female, some male managers see it as a threat rather than an opportunity for all to be successful. Caterpillar is a great company but does not keep the best of company with some of the Managers they have in place.

Too political. Not enough opportunity to move up.

Cat really isn't a bad place to work, it's just not what I'm used to doing. They are a very safety minded which can be a big plus if you can handle the big corporation aspect.

Indifferent Rater
Mid-Level

Very few management opportunities for females. Makes with less experience get promoted quicker and higher.
