About the Role

The Senior Accountant, Expense and Reporting role at Namely is responsible for all facets accounting operations that support management of cash disbursements including but not limited to ensuring strong internal controls.  Namely Senior Accountant is also responsible for preparing financial statements in accordance with GAAP on a monthly basis. 

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain company general ledger, monthly close process, account reconciliations
  • Responsible for reconciliation, controls and financial reporting over Namely Payroll Trust including but not limited to subsidiary ledger reconciliations (MasterTax)
  • Develop and execute on internal controls to ensure high accuracy in business results
  • Ensure completeness and proper recording of all expense transactions
  • Support reporting of expenses consistent with company budget
  • Prepare financial statements in accordance with GAAP and that conform to company budget process monthly. Annual financial statements to include Notes.
  • Prepare detailed schedules and technical accounting memorandum to support complex accounting treatment.
  • Communicate with independent auditors to ensure an efficient audit process
  • Support accounts payable, credit card program and other expense management as needed
  • Maintain company fixed asset ledger
  • Support management of equity/stock compensation related matters between general ledger and company’s equity management system
  • Other projects as requested including but not limited to projections, budget support, audits
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 3 – 5 years experience in similar role
  • Advanced Excel Skills
  • NetSuite experience
  • Industry accounting experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • CPA preferred
