About the Role
 
App Academy seeks a Director of Marketing to manage our team and own the execution of marketing campaigns across a variety of paid and organic channels (PPC, SEO, Affiliate Partnerships, etc.) to drive national growth. The ideal candidate will be a well-balanced individual who is equally skilled with numbers and analysis as with marketing messages and creative, and is able to think and plan strategically, but also own execution with internal and external partners. The ultimate goal is to drive growth and usage of the various products within App Academy’s portfolio. This role will be the highest in the Marketing department.

Responsibilities

    • Lead, develop and inspire a team of three marketing professionals
    • Assist in the development and execution of PPC campaigns across all App Academy products.
    • Grow and optimize App Academy's SEO across our core website and blog which has an active contributor community
    • Drive A/B and multivariate testing programs to continually improve ad copy and creative, landing pages, bidding strategies, etc.
    • Analyze performance, and develop and drive appropriate action plans based on conclusions.
    • Develop strategic partnerships to facilitate growth
    • Oversee creation and delivery of press releases, advertisements, and other marketing materials

Experience and Qualifications

    • BA/BS degree required
    • 6+ years’ in a senior management role with hands-on experience in both paid and organic growth
    • Experience managing complex, large-scale PPC/SEM campaigns across multiple channels
    • Demonstrated success using SEO to drive growth
    • Ability to develop and drive digital testing strategies that involve creative targeting and A/B and multivariate testing.
    • Experience hiring, managing, and scaling mid to large size teams
    • Hyper-analytical and passionate about testing, data, and metrics. Expertise with Excel required. SQL experience a plus.
    • A self-starter who is results-driven, focused and analytical.
    • A track record of recruiting best-in-class talent and building high-performing, collaborative teams
