US Army Women’s Museum Reopening in November

Following a $3 million renovation and expansion, the US Army Women’s Museum will reopen in November. The museum first opened in Fort Lee, Virginia, in 2001 to honor women’s contributions in the Army. The renovation helped expand the exhibit space to twice the size, and allowed for the addition of five teaching galleries dedicated to sharing women’s contributions in the army starting from 1775. The museum is also opening “The Voices Project,” that features reflections from 12 women in the Army, and re-dedicating a remembrance garden.
