I love it there, everyone is one big team
If you are willing to work hard and execute the company play, you will do very well there.
Great company that provides growth opportunity within!
Sexist male co-workers, do not promote minorities to leadership roles, worked 8 hours with no break and no health benefits.
No community at this location or withinn the district. Upper managment is a boys club, and they only look out for themselves. The General Manager at the time was rarely on site and left the mid-level managment to take the fall for a lot because of his lack of presense.
24 Hour Fitness is a great company if you’ve got the drive and passion for fitness!
Good job for younger girl living at home and just wanting to work. Free gym membership, workout insentives, fun people.
Worked several locations; sexual harassment from male managers, other staff, and even from gym members was apart of the everyday. This industry is full of it.
Working in a gym with men there are constant comments from male staff in all departments towards other women members/ guests. Very equal opportunities for women for advancement and promotions as you are almost solely judged on performance and hitting numbers. Upper management says they support you but when push comes to shove they’re often nowhere to be found. Some people in upper management who have no business in their position.
This company does not pay anyone except upper management a living wage.
I think women are lacking in this industry, but 24 does a fantastic job of promoting women into department head roles.
Gross environment for women. Women are treated badly by the personal trainer manager and the other male trainers. There are only 1-2 female trainers ever at a time. Mostly, it's a frat house environment with sexual harassment, humiliation towards women, locker room talk, aggressive behavior from the manager, nasty jokes and sexist jokes, sexual talk and rumors past around about the female workers, unauthorized nude photos of women past around, and HR knows everything from complaints but has never fired the manager nor any of the male trainers for their behavior. Instead, they offer to move the female trainers to a different gym in SOHO that's known to be mostly gay and will therefore be an environment the women "can handle". Disgusting place to work. No such thing as maternal leave nor family planning. If you have to make a schedule around family or school, it's frowned upon. They expect you to be there from 6am to 9pm everyday.
100% Sales Driven in Membership and Fitness departments. No concern for existing members unless if there is an opportunity for profit
Overall great environment, great work place. Loyal clientele and of current management stays the place will thrive. You get what you put into it.
Women and men are treated equal at my level. I don't know for coorporate.
My corporation is very female-friendly. It is a wonderful place. I am very lucky.
