Vice President, Organizational Development

As a 30-year veteran of the lumber and building materials (LBM) industry, Dena has held various positions in her career, from trading commodities, purchasing and sales management for Georgia Pacific and Boise Cascade, to regional sales director for Foxworth-Galbraith Lumber Company for the Mountain Region. Prior to her tenure at the Misura Group, she served as the vice president of organizational development for Kodiak Building Partners. She studied at the University of Northern Colorado and Kennedy University and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business management.

By building her career in all facets of the LBM industry, Dena has a unique perspective and advantage to understanding the many challenges that our industry faces in an ever-changing and challenging business. She is a passionate advocate of education, leadership development, organizational strategic planning, and service to the community. Dena was the first woman president of Mountain States Lumber Dealers Association in 2009 and had the honor of being the first female director for Foxworth Galbraith Lumber Company in its 112-year history.

She has held various board positions within the National Lumber Dealers Association in Washington, D.C., where she served as the vice chair and chair for the MSC. She has also served as the chairman for the Federated Association Executives. Dena resides with her wonderful family in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and is excited be a part of the visionary Misura Group, where she will continue her contributions to the LBM industry that she has dedicated her career to.
