Co-op - GPU Development Engineer (GPU Signal Path) - Cambridge, MA – Jan 2021

Are you interested in a Co-op with Philips? We welcome currently enrolled undergraduate (BS) and graduate (MS) level students to participate in 6-month paid Co-op opportunities at our sites across the US. Through these roles, you will gain meaningful, hands-on experience in engineering working for a HealthTech company.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to/you are responsible for

  • Participating in the development of GPU software including requirements definition, design, implementation, testing, and documentation

  • Working with research, marketing, and end users to refine requirements

  • Creating products according to the specifications and software development process

  • Creating engineering documentations to comply with product development policies, practices and procedures

As a GPU Development Co-Op at Philips you will have the opportunity to create a meaningful impact on your career by enhancing the skills within your field, while developing break-through solutions that will create a meaningful impact on the lives of others.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent

  • Working knowledge of embedded application development, develop, test, and deploy application on custom hardware/devices

  • Working knowledge of real time systems

  • Understanding of Object Oriented concepts

  • Hands-on experience in implementing signal processing algorithms on GPUs

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interface in a cross-disciplinary manner, including engineers, product managers, and clinical specialists

  • Self-motivated individual with good organizational and time management skills

  • Knowledge of DSP fundamentals and image processing is a plus

  • Experience with adaptive GPU-based signal processing algorithms is a plus

  • Familiarity with medical devices and/or working in a regulated environment a plus

  • Good learning aptitude
